Hearts for Hearts Dolls: Review and Favorites

Hearts for Hearts Girls are adorable and well-crafted dolls made with a mission of empowering young women across the world. Hearts for Hearts recognizes that in many countries, girls experience a lack of access to education, housing, medical care, food, and clean water. If these girls’ basic needs are met, they can thrive and achieve amazing things.

About Hearts for Hearts Dolls

As part of this mission to help girls enact change in their communities, Hearts for Hearts donations $1 per doll to their charitable partner World Vision, an organization that supports children through local humanitarian programs.

Through the design of their dolls, Hearts for Hearts gives children a positive and uplifting perspective on cultures throughout the world. They strive to send a message of unity and service to young women, helping them believe that they can make a difference.

Each fourteen-inch Hearts for Hearts Girl comes with culturally relevant accessories and a mini-book about their daily lives and their dreams of transforming their communities. Check out some of my favorite Hearts for Hearts Girls and why I love them.

My Favorite Hearts for Hearts Doll

There’s plenty of great Hearts for Hearts dolls to pick from, but my favorite has to be this one:

Consuelo from Mexico

Knowing that there is always leftover food at the bakery, Consuelo dreams of creating a special cantina in the courtyard so that the children can get something to eat. She also plans to teach them how to bake.

Consuelo is generous and imaginative. She lives with her family in Mexico City in an apartment above the bakery that they own. While Consuelo always has something tasty to smell in her family’s bakery, not all children in her neighborhood are so lucky.

Consuelo has long, silky hair that is held into place with a pink flower headband. She wears a bright embroidered shirt and a lace-trimmed skirt. Your little one will love the included kid-sized friendship bracelet and comb.

Other Hearts for Hearts Dolls I Love

If you’re interested in what else this company has to offer, I also like the dolls listed below too:

Rahel from Ethiopia

Ten-year-old Rahel has a generous heart and is courageous. Helping her village fight Malaria drives her to dream of one day becoming a doctor. In her mini-book, you can read about how she ventures out of her town every day to gather medical supplies for her community.

She has abundant curly black hair and wears a bright yellow shirt, a woven patterned skirt, and authentic jewelry. She comes with a full-sized friendship bracelet for her new best pal.

Dell from the USA

Dell is a talented and cheerful ten-year-old girl who hails from the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky. Her father was a coal miner until the mind closer, forcing them to leave their beautiful home in the mountains.

Dell loves to sing, and in her new town, her father and brothers make a living by building guitars. Her dream is to share through her music the feeling of walking high in the mountains. Her mother and her still visit their old town in the Appalachians to bring food and handmade blankets in the harsh Mountain winters to those in need.

Dell has soft, curly hair and dresses in denim shorts, a flower-patterned top, and a camouflage hat. She comes with a friendship bracelet fit for a young girl and a comb.

Mosi the Native American

Mosi is a Native American girl who is determined to keep the stories and traditions of her culture alive. She walks two paths, as she is a modern girl connected to the changing world, yet she works hard to stay connected to her Native American culture.

Mosi lives with her family near Santa Fe on a sheep ranch that her father runs. Mosi frequently visits her grandmother on the reservation and listens to stories about their people. Her mother works as a potter to keep the art of their culture alive.

Mosi has long, wavy, black hair, a bright patterned red dress, Native American-inspired earrings, and a blue feather in her hair. Like the other dolls, she comes with a friendship bracelet and a comb.

How to Pick the Right Hearts for Hearts Girl for Your Little One

There are over ten beautifully crafted Hearts for Hearts dolls on the market. You might be wondering which one is right for your little one?

There are several factors you can consider when choosing your Hearts for Hearts dolls. You may choose a doll that is from a region that you hold close to your heart. Maybe your family shares her culture, or, perhaps, you’ve contributed to humanitarian work in that region.

You could also choose a doll based on how similarly she looks to your little one. It can be a fun and special surprise for a girl to receive a doll that is her mini-me. The importance of dolls that resemble their owners is especially true for little girls who don’t always see their features represented in toys.

However you end up choosing, know that any choice is a rewarding one. You contribute to humanitarian aid in communities that need it, but you are also sharing a message of global unity and empathy with your kids
