Our Tanger Outlets Shopping Haul

It’s back to school time around here, so you know, that means shopping. And, if you’re a long time reader, you also know that around here, shopping means saving!

One way I save is by making a conscious effort to never pay full price. I just see no reason to do that. There are deals to be had and I want them all, which is one reason we braved the rain to hunt for deals during the Tanger Taste and Style event last week.

Now, as usual, I was shopping with a very specific plan: new black sneakers for the little guy’s new school and new uniform and new pieces for for my fashionista to add to her collection.

The goal was to combine Tanger’s deals with the 20% off coupon I shared with you. I was totally expecting to save big on the shoes with Skechers’ BOGO deal plus the coupon, but couldn’t find the size we needed. We still saved a bit at the Nike Outlet and saved $65 bucks at Gap. That coupon also came in handy for lunch at Jake’s Wayback–I love that there were restaurants at the outlet who were willing to let shoppers take advantage of that deal!

If you’re local, I hope you got my heads up last week and made it out to the event as well. The food trucks lined the parking lot and we did see a few entertainers around, even though the rain prevented us from enjoying all the fun. At any rate, we shopped, we ate, we saved and we’ll visit again soon. I hope you will too. How are you saving for back to school this year?
