Motherhood is full of lessons and sometimes, I’m open to learning them. Here’s what I picked up last week in this week’s edition of What Mama Learned.
I love laughing with my family.
Have you seen Uncle Buck yet? We binged on the first 3 episodes last night and they were hilarious. We love watching family comedies like this one together (our favorites are Blackish, The Goldbergs and The Middle). I especially enjoy it because it’s one of the few times no one of the four of us is complaining. Any mom will tell you that’s a gift and I gotta tell you it does this mom’s heart good.
So, while we’re anticipating the next episode of the show, I’m anticipating another opportunity to literally laugh out loud with my three favorite people. Have you seen it yet? I’d love to hear what you thought…let’s chat about it in the comments.
People like salsa (and timelapse videos).
My regular readers know that I don’t usually do recipes around here. I have a few in my arsenal, but I don’t consider myself a cook and quite honestly, those recipe posts are hard work!! I broke my rule last week though, and shared my family’s favorite meal. I also shared a timelapse video of me whipping some salsa up and it was quite a hit. If you missed the video, check it out below and if you’d like the recipe for Salmon with Red Pepper Salsa, find it right here.
Before you go, let me remind you about my $50 Visa gift card giveaway. It’s ending this week, so enter now. And, if you didn’t get last week’s INSIDERS newsletter, click to find out what you missed. If you’re not a subscriber yet, enjoy the sneak peek, and fix that now with the link below!
