What Mama Learned Last Week: On Being a Mom, Coloring Contests & Change

Motherhood is full of lessons and sometimes, I’m open to learning them. Here’s what I picked up last week in this week’s edition of  What Mama Learned.

The MamaZone: Mother's Day Photo PoemBeing a mom is rewarding.

As much as I often whine and complain about my kids, I realize the privilege it is that they call me mom. I also realize just how rewarding it is to watch them grow up and I’m confident that they’ll become successful adults who’ll do amazing things.

Last week, I posted this video online, taking an atypical look at something few moms celebrate. Check it out:

It’s my little reminder that my mom-work matters. Agree? I hope you’ll share it!

Your kids aren’t coloring.

I announced my first Kid’s Coloring contest last week and so far there have been NO legitimate entries. I’d love to have some of you enter (or to know why you haven’t!). Just visit the post, download the coloring page and post it using the hashtag #MomFoldsSocks. I’ll choose a random winner at the end of the week.

Change is good.

You might notice that the home page looks a bit different. I spent the weekend moving a few things around a bit and hopefully making the site a little easier to understand and navigate. I hope you like it and I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I think I’ll switch things up and post these mom lessons on Sunday from now on. We’ll see. For now, that puts another week in the books. What did you learn last week? Let’s chat about it in the comments.

I don’t have kids so I didn’t enter the coloring contest.
